Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Economove (the "service", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our website and applications. We aim to keep this document short and honest.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, hashed password, display name, and preferences you provide.
  • Billing data: subscription plan, invoices, and payment metadata. Full card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken, device and browser type, approximate location (from IP), and error logs — used to operate and improve the service.
  • Content you create: watchlists, notes, saved research, and settings.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide, secure, and improve the service.
  • To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your trading research or notes to train third-party models.

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Contract — to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interest — to secure, improve, and operate the service.
  • Legal obligation — accounting, tax, fraud prevention.
  • Consent — where required (e.g. marketing emails, non-essential cookies).

4. Sub-processors we use

We rely on a small set of trusted vendors to run the service:

  • Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
  • Supabase / Lovable Cloud — database, authentication, hosting.
  • Email delivery provider — transactional emails.

These providers act as processors under written agreements and only handle data on our behalf.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to keep it (e.g. invoices for tax purposes).

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@economove.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We apply industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, hashed passwords, row-level access controls, and least-privilege service accounts. No system is 100% secure; you use the service at your own risk.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure and sub-processors may host data in the EU, the UK, or the United States. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

10. Children

The service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the service or by email.
